Hanging on...

In this case, I did travel farther. Up in Yosemite Valley, near Nevada Falls. Hiking back to camp I encountered this rare beauty. Hanging on from the granite, its colors overpowering the rough surface upon which it grows.

Sometimes we travel far to witness marvelous things, often though, those wonders are right in our own back yard.
